He will not play this week against the St. Louis Rams.

09/02/14 - NT Glenn Dorsey is out for at least the first eight weeks of the season after being placed him on the injured reserve/designated for return list.
Dorsey suffered a back injury during training camp. Dorsey will not be able to return to practice for a minimum of six weeks and cannot be activated for a game until after the eighth week of the season.
09/01/14 - NT Glenn Dorsey made the 49ers' 53-man roster, but is expected to be placed on the Injured Reserve/Designated to Return list Tuesday because of a biceps injury. The 49ers are hopeful their starting nose tackle will be able to return to action for at least the last month of the regular season.
08/21/14 - The 49ers signed defensive lineman Glenn Dorsey to a two-year contract extension through the 2016 season. Dorsey is currently sidelined with a torn biceps tendon, but could return late in the season if he goes on injured reserve with the designation for return.
"Glenn is a true pro who has quickly become a valued contributor to our organization both on and off the field," said 49ers general manager Trent Baalke. "He is a quick study and a very good football player that has earned this extension, and we look forward to his future contributions."
During his first season with San Francisco in 2013, Dorsey (6-1, 297) appeared in all 16 regular season games (13 starts), in addition to the team's three (two starts) postseason contests. He recorded two sacks, tallied 100 tackles for the first time in his career and helped the team rank fourth in rushing yards allowed per game (95.9) in the NFL. He was also selected by his coaches and teammates as the 49ers Defensive Blue Collar Player of the Year.
