10/15/09 - RB/RS Kory Sheets, who was signed off the 49ers' practice squad a day after Cobbs went down, has been auditioning for the kickoff return role. He returned kicks at Purdue but only averaged 21.2 yards.
10/13/09 - RB Kory Sheets was signed off the 49ers' practice squad by the Miami Dolphins. The 49ers decided to keep seven wideouts on the team, rather than make room for Sheets.
08/23/09 - RB Kory Sheets rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries while playing the second half against the Raiders.
08/16/09 - Undrafted rookie RB Kory Sheets saw a lot of action in the second half. As advertised, he showed his burst of speed with 51 yards on 10 carries. However, he made a mental mistake when he ran out of bounds inside the two-minute warning when the 49ers were trying to run out the clock.
