 Draft Scout Danny Amendola News
11/28/15 - WR Danny Amendola of the Patriots is expected to miss Sunday night's game in Denver because of a knee injury. Amendola, who injured his left knee in Monday night's 20-13 win over the Bills, has been limited in practice all week. He was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. He did not travel with the Patriots to Denver on Saturday, according to reports.
11/26/15 - WR Danny Amendola (knee) did not practice on Wednesday after sitting out the final quarter-plus of Monday night's win over the Bills.
11/25/15 - WR Danny Amendola limped off with a left knee injury in the third quarter of Monday night's win and did not return, though he remained standing on the sideline the rest of the night. The receiver, who had nine catches for 117 yards before leaving after fair catching a punt, was reportedly set to have an MRI on the knee on Tuesday, with results reportedly indicating a sprained knee and nothing more serious. It has been said he might play this week.
11/24/15 - WR Danny Amendola caught nine passes for 117 yards in his first game as the primary possession target with Julian Edelman gone with a broken foot. But the seventh 100-yard game of Amendola's career ended early when he left with a knee injury. He didn't leave the bench area but didn't return to the game. "We'll see what the situation is," said coach Bill Belichick, who also has to deal with an ankle injury to Aaron Dobson and was down to two wide receivers in the second half and also lost Amendola from the punt return team.
11/18/15 - WR Danny Amendola had 10 catches for 76 yards and an 82-yard punt return to play a key role in Sunday's comeback win at the New York Giants. He was the making key catches on New England's drive to a last-second field goal, including a fourth-down grab and another to set up the kick. With Julian Edelman (foot) out of action, Amendola stepped up. He'll be expected to continue to do just that in the coming weeks and months while Edelman is sidelined. "Danny is a really consistent guy," coach Bill Belichick said. "I think anybody in the program would speak to that. His work ethic, his toughness, his intelligence - he's ready to go every day and there are no days off for him. Every play for that matter - he works hard on every play. "But I'd say it's pretty much as advertised. It's no different than what (coordinator) Josh (McDaniels) said from what it was in St. Louis and I'd say the first spring that he was here he stood out daily in the OTA work, whatever it was, whether it was short routes, deep routes, catching the ball, quickness, returns. He's really looked good since the day he's got here. "Now he missed some time, but other than that, I'd say his overall play and performance ... He's made a lot of big plays for us in critical situations, very dependable guy, great hands. Buffalo two years ago, the catches he made in that game were remarkable."
