07/23/12 - CB Darcel McBath signed a one-year deal with the 49ers.
A second-round pick by Denver out of Texas Tech in 2009, McBath has played in 21 career games, with one start. In San Francisco, he reunites with secondary coach Ed Donatell, who was his position coach with the Broncos from 2009-10.
He was released by Denver on Sept. 4 last year and was out of the league until signing with Jacksonville on Dec. 12 to help the Jaguars' injury-ravaged secondary. Jacksonville released McBath on April 23.
