Draft Scout *Darrelle Revis News
09/29/16 - CB Darrelle Revis (right ankle) was injured in practice Wednesday. Head coach Todd Bowles said it was not a serious injury, though Revis was seen walking with the ankle tapped while reporters had access to the locker room later Wednesday. Revis has beaten for long touchdowns by Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green and Buffalo Bills WR Marquise Goodwin during the Jets' first two games before being briefly sidelined by an eye injury against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
09/11/16 - CB Darrelle Revis struggled to contain Bengals WR A.J. Green on Sunday in the Jets' opening loss. Green finished with 12 catches for 180 yards and one touchdown. Revis was limited in training camp and might not be 100 percent healthy. He earned the "Revis Island" nickname, for single-handedly taking the opponent's best receiver out of the game in his first several NFL seasons with the Jets, Buccaneers and Patriots. With Revis on Green early in the fourth quarter, Green snared a pass between his legs for a 34-yard gain. In the final minute, with Revis playing several yards off him, Green had no trouble corralling an 11-yard pass that set up Mike Nugent's winning 47-yard field goal. "I can take a punch on the chin," Revis said. "He had a great game today. They game-planned a lot. They said they've been watching film of me all off-season. They definitely came in with a good game plan and were able to attack our defense in a lot of ways."
08/14/16 - CB Darrelle Revis (wrist) was active but did not play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Jets' preseason opener on Thursday night. Revis sat out the first three practices of training camp while recovering from offseason surgery and is "still getting his legs under him," according to head coach Todd Bowles. Revis practiced in full on Saturday and appears likely to play in the Jets' second preseason game next Friday night against the Washington Redskins.
07/28/16 - CB Darrelle Revis did not participate in the team portion of training camp drills Thursday, and he will be brought along slowly after wrist surgery in March. Revis is the Jets' highest paid player at $17 million, and according to Pro Football Focus, he allowed a league-best 46.5 percent completion percentage when targeted last year.
12/11/15 - CB Darrelle Revis has a strong chance at playing this Sunday after being listed as probable on the club's Friday injury report. Revis hasn't played since suffering a concussion against the Houston Texans on Nov. 22.
