Draft Scout *Darrelle Revis News
12/04/13 - CB Darrelle Revis, who was unable to finish Sunday's game at Carolina due to shoulder/chest injuries, returned to practice Wednesday and had full participation.
12/03/13 - CB Darrelle Revis left the last two games with injuries, and Sunday's was to his shoulder and chest, but Schiano said the initial signs are promising for him being able to play Sunday at home against Buffalo.
"I think he's going to be OK," Schiano said. "Initially came off the field, had some pain in his upper torso area, then they examined him inside. Not sure what the situation is. I don't think it's real serious, but we'll see."
11/27/13 - CB Darrelle Revis has a groin strain and is day-to-day. He wasn't able to finish the second half of Sunday's win at Detroit and he did not practice Wednesday. If Revis can't go, the job of covering Panthers WR Steve Smith may go to rookie CB Johnthan Banks.
11/25/13 - The Bucs could be without CB Darrelle Revis next week against the Carolina Panthers. Revis was forced to miss the second half of Sunday's 24-21 win at Detroit with an injured groin after being in a man-to-man matchup with Lions receiver Calvin Johnson. Coach Greg Schiano said Revis was scheduled to undergo an MRI Monday but the team is uncertain of the severity of the injury.
"It's a groin. I don't know the severity of it," Bucs coach Greg Schiano said. "It was severe enough, I know he wanted to play in that game desperately. That was a great matchup and the first half felt like two championship fighters just feeling each other out. It was mostly jabs and it was going to be an interesting second half.
"The flip side to that is I'm really proud of Johnthan Banks. We weren't sure how we were going to do it. Were we going to totally go away from the plan? Were we going to adjust the plan? We adjusted it a little bit but Johnthan stepped into Darrelle's role against one of the best players to ever play that position and really did a really good job."
11/13/13 - CB Darrelle Revis is quickly returning to his old form. On Monday night, he held Dolphins WR Mike Wallace to four catches for 15 yards.
