Draft Scout Jay Ratliff News
12/03/13 - DT Jeremiah Ratliff's debut as a Bear included 27 percent of the snaps and one assist on a tackle. It was his first action in more than a year due to a torn groin muscle.
"It went OK for the first game," Ratliff said. "I mean, it was kind of to be expected. First time in pads in over a year now, since Nov. 18 of last year. So it was a good start. There's nothing else to do from here but build."
11/27/13 - DT Jeremiah Ratliff practiced on a limited basis Wednesday and, after practicing last week, it's possible he could play for the first time in a Bears uniform against the Vikings Sunday. His status will be updated later in the week.
11/22/13 - DT Jeremiah Ratliff (groin, tear) has been ruled out against St. Louis and coach Marc Trestman said he is a week or two away. That could put Ratliff's return in December against his old team, the Dallas Cowboys.
11/20/13 - DT Jay Ratliff (groin tear) practiced for the first time with the Bears, although it was on a limited basis. Coach Marc Trestman said there's very little chance of Ratliff being available for Sunday's game with the Rams and it was more a week or two away. That could put Ratliff's return in December against his old team, the Dallas Cowboys.
11/06/13 - DT Jeremiah Ratliff missed Thursday's practice rehabbing from a groin muscle tear. Ratliff will not return to play until later in the season. It has been just over a year since the former Cowboy has played. Ratliff is going by the name of Jeremiah Ratliff on the Bears roster. That is his real first name, although he has been known as Jay since playing for Dallas.
