Draft Scout Danny Woodhead News
08/14/15 - RB Danny Woodhead returned to the field for the first time since breaking his leg in the third game of last season. Woodhead scored on a 5-yard run, where he showed a good burst. "I feel really good," Woodhead said. "It's been a long process, but I feel really good. It was great to get out there and get in the end zone."
08/10/15 - RB Danny Woodhead, who missed most of last year because of a broken leg, isn't showing any signs of the injury during camp. He's running and cutting well and his hands are certainly the same as before the injury. He is a huge piece of the Chargers' offensive puzzle.
09/24/14 - RB Danny Woodhead was placed on injured reserve after breaking his leg.
09/22/14 - RB Danny Woodhead was placed on season-ending injury reserve after he suffered a broken leg in Sunday's game, head coach Mike McCoy announced Monday. Woodhead, who fractured his fibula, is as valuable as a receiver coming out of the backfield as he is as a ball-carrier. He had 15 carries this season for 38 yards and had five receptions for 34 yards. He had 76 catches for the Chargers a year ago.
09/21/14 - RB Danny Woodhead suffered what might be a season-ending, broken fibula Sunday as San Diego's running back corps got a little thinner. Woodhead, a seventh-year veteran from Chadron State, had gotten the starting nod in place of Ryan Mathews, who will be sidelined for an extended period with a strained MCL. But Woodhead's day was through after just one carry. With 11:37 remaining in the first quarter, he was carted off the field and did not return.
