Post-Draft Outlook:
A closer look at the Raiders' picks: Round 4/124 - Louis Murphy, WR, Florida, 6-2, 203...Considered by some scouts to be a third-round talent, the Raiders couldn't resist adding another infusion of speed to go along with Heyward-Bey. Has Raiders size as well as track speed, scoring 13 touchdowns on 77 career catches with 1,245 yards at Florida. - by The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout Louis Murphy News
08/17/15 - WR Louis Murphy showed no ill effects of an ankle sprain Saturday, catching four passes for 54 yards.
08/13/15 - WR Louis Murphy has returned to practice but has to make up time. The Bucs have been impressed with WRs Kenny Bell, Rannell Hall and Robert Herron. "Louis Murphy needed to come back," head coach Lovie Smith said. "Of course, getting him some reps back into the mix a little bit, that's good. As we talked about a few days ago, a lot of the younger players have taken advantage of the reps they've been given and all you're trying to do right now is get yourself in position to know the play."
08/12/15 - WR Louis Murphy passed his physical Tuesday (Aug. 11) and was removed from the list.
07/31/15 - WR Louis Murphy failed his physical with the Buccaneers Friday (July 31) and begins training camp on the non-football injury list. He still counts against the 90-man roster.
12/26/14 - WR Louis Murphy signed a three-year contract extension with the Buccaneers Friday (Dec. 26). The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Murphy played in 11 games this season, with three starts, catching 31 passes for 380 yards and two touchdowns. In his six-year career, Murphy has played in 82 games, with 27 starts, totaling 152 receptions for 2,124 yards and 10 touchdowns, as well as 14 rushes for 146 yards and one touchdown. Murphy, 27, had been scheduled to become a free agent after the season. He was placed on injured reserve last week with an ankle injury. "You want to reward players that take the long way and earn it the right way," coach Lovie Smith said Friday. "We like him. When he was healthy and ready to go as our third receiver, he did some positive things as our third receiver. He's somebody that we want to keep building with." Murphy said he wanted to stay with the Bucs instead of testing free agency despite the team's 2-13 record. "I believe in this team," Murphy said. "I believe in Coach Lovie. I believe in the organization. I believe in all the guys that are in that locker room regardless of what the record says. I believe that we're going to be contenders in the future, and I want to be a part of it. I want to see it turn around."
