Post-Draft Outlook:
COULD SURPRISE: Texas DT Roy Miller was a highly productive player in the Big 12 who dominated at times. He comes to Tampa Bay with a chip on his shoulder for being bypassed until the third round. He'll see lots of playing time in the rotation with Chris Hovan and Ryan Simms. A closer look at the Buccaneers' picks: Round 3/81 -- Roy Miller, DT, 6-1, 315, Texas...Run-stuffer will be a welcome addition to the defensive line rotation. Gained 25 pounds since the end of the season. Has a chip on his shoulder for being overlooked until the third round of the draft. - by The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout Roy Miller News
11/13/17 - DT Roy Miller was released by Kansas City on Monday, two days after he was arrested in Jacksonville, Fla., and charged with domestic battery of his wife. "We did release Roy and we're going to move on from that," Chiefs coach Andy Reid told reporters Monday, declining to answer further questions about Miller being waived. "I can't really talk about anything from a legal standpoint, so I'm going to just leave it at that." Miller, 30, is accused of dragging his wife by the hair, tearing a braid from her head and nearly ripping off her shirt, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office incident report.
11/11/17 - DT Roy Miller of the Chiefs was arrested in Jacksonville, Fla., early Saturday morning and charged with domestic battery. Miller, 30, was taken into custody on suspicion of domestic battery and booked into the Duval County Jail at 4:53 a.m. ET, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Department of Corrections. The incident involved a minor injury, according to local news outlets. Miller was released on his own recognizance after an initial court appearance Saturday afternoon. Another hearing was set for Nov. 28. The 6-1, 301-pound Miller, playing in his ninth NFL season, has appeared in seven games this season and he made two tackles in the Chiefs' 28-17 loss to the Cowboys in Dallas last Sunday. He has six tackles on the season.
08/26/17 - DT Roy Miller's preseason debut lasted just 10 snaps, with the veteran limping off the field late in the first half. Reid said Miller suffered from a hamstring spasm. The team signed Miller as a free agent Aug. 2. The team slowly worked Miller into the defensive line rotation as he learns the defensive scheme and continues his recovery from a torn Achilles sustained last season.
03/12/17 - NT Roy Miller was released on Sunday by the Jacksonville Jaguars after four seasons with the team. Miller, 29, was limited to six games last season after tearing his Achilles' tendon in October. He was due to make $3.6 million in 2017, including a $400,000 roster bonus on Monday. Miller recorded 105 tackle and five sacks during his time with the Jaguars. He had a career-high four sacks and a career-high six tackles for loss in 2015.
10/28/16 - DT Roy Miller III was placed on injured reserve. His roster spot was taken by Richard Ash. DT Abry Jones replaced Miller in the starting lineup and made three tackles.
