 Draft Scout Montario Hardesty News
12/28/12 - RB Montario Hardesty figures to start Sunday against Pittsburgh, his first start of the season. Hardesty did a lot of offseason work, but has gotten just 48 carries as the bulk of the work has gone to Trent Richardson. Hardesty views the start as an opportunity, but he gets to go against one of the league's best run defenses.
12/12/12 - RB Montario Hardesty practiced without limitation despite a knee injury.
12/10/12 - RB Montario Hardesty ran very well in relief of Trent Richardson. Hardesty led the Browns in rushing with 52 yards on 10 carries, and had a 25-yard run. Hardesty worked hard in the offseason for a chance, and deserves a few more carries. But coach Pat Shurmur likes to stick with one back and run him a lot. Hardesty could be effective with 12-to-14 carries a game.
12/09/12 - RB Montario Hardesty led the Browns with 52 yards rushing, outgaining Trent Richardson by 10 yards.
10/25/12 - RB Montario Hardesty isn't saying much, but he has to be eager to show the offseason work he put in was worth it. Hardesty spent time at former NFL center LeCharles Bentley's O-Line academy in suburban Cleveland. Bentley tailored workouts to strengthen Hardesty's knees. He has run well, but has to sit behind Trent Richardson. Hardesty could get a full chance if Richardson is deemed unable to play on Sunday.
