Post-Draft Outlook:
A closer look at the Steelers' picks: Round 5/168 -- Joe Burnett, CB/KR, 5-9, 194, Central Florida...He too will get a chance to return kickoffs and/or punts for the Steelers. He's been a playmaker in college and he'll get a chance to stick. William Gay, penciled in as the new starting left cornerback, also was a 5-9, fifth-round draft choice by the Steelers. - by The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout Joe Burnett News
03/04/10 - CB Joe Burnett mostly played special teams until last few games when he was used in the nickel with little success. He'll get a chance to start.
12/15/09 - CB Joe Burnett will continue to rotate in on both sides with William Gay and Ike Taylor and get a chance to play more often if he plays well. He replaced those two for a total of four series in Cleveland.
08/23/09 - CB Joe Burnett allowed a short TD pass over him and lost a fumbled punt.
08/16/09 - CB Joe Burnett, also having an outstanding camp, returned an interception 45 yards to the 3 to set up the Steelers' first touchdown vs. Arizona.
08/09/09 - CBs Joe Burnett and Keenan Lewis both look like keepers, with Burnett challenging for the nickel job.
