Draft Scout Steve Smith, Sr. News
12/25/16 - WR Steve Smith Sr. is active Sunday against the Steelers despite being listed as questionable with a thigh injury.
11/21/16 - WR Steve Smith Sr. caught eight passes for 99 yards, becoming the 14th player in NFL history to reach 1,000 career receptions. He needed three catches coming in.
11/11/16 - WR Steve Smith Sr. had five catches for 60 yards against the Browns and passed Reggie Wayne for the eighth-most receiving yards in NFL history with 14,349. Smith needs three more catches to become the 14th player in league history to reach 1,000 receptions.
11/06/16 - WR Steve Smith Sr. caught a screen from QB Joe Flacco and blew by Steelers S Mike Mitchell for a 30-yard gain in the first quarter. It was sweet moment for Smith, who put Mitchell on his "all-time hit list" after an altercation last year. After the game, the two had to be separated again after Mitchell approached Smith on the Ravens' sideline. Smith, 37, missed the previous two games after suffering an ankle injury Oct. 16 against the Redskins. He ran without any problems about two hours prior to kickoff Sunday and was deemed healthy enough to start. He finished with four catches for 47 yards.
11/03/16 - WR Steve Smith (ankle) was not able to practice Wednesday or Thursday and it appears unlikely he will be ready for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh. Smith injured his ankle against Washington on Oct. 9 and has not played since. Smith is third on the team with 27 receptions for 310 yards with a touchdown. If Smith sits out on Sunday, Kamar Aiken, the Ravens' leading receiver last season, would start in his place.
