11/20/14 - ILB NaVorro Bowman is scheduled to see a doctor Friday for yet another evaluation on his surgically repaired knee. Bowman underwent major knee surgery shortly after the end of the 2013 season. He was expected to return to team activities this week, but that aspect of the comeback has hit a snag. The 49ers are now hoping Bowman gets a thumbs-up from the doctor Friday and is able to join team workouts next week.
11/19/14 - LB NaVorro Bowman, currently on reserve/physically unable to perform (PUP), was declared as returned to practice Tuesday (Nov. 18), beginning a 21-day window where the 49ers can either activated him or keep him on PUP for the rest of the season.
11/19/14 - ILB NaVorro Bowman was not able to get on the field with his teammates Wednesday, thus denying him what had been expected to be his first full practice of the season. Bowman underwent major knee surgery shortly after the end of the 2013 season. Even though Bowman worked out with the 49ers' training staff on a side field Wednesday, coach Jim Harbaugh said he doesn't expect his All-Pro to join team drills this week.
11/17/14 - ILB NaVorro Bowman will return to practice this week, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed Monday. Bowman has not played since tearing up his knee in the NFC Championship Game in January. He experienced pain in the knee in his comeback effort earlier this month, but an MRI revealed no further damage. The 49ers have until Dec. 9 either to place Bowman on the active roster or declare him out for the season.
11/13/14 - ILB NaVorro Bowman got good news on his surgically repaired knee Wednesday. An MRI revealed no new damage. The 49ers are now hoping Bowman, who experienced some soreness in the knee doing individual work last week, can start practicing with the team next week.
