Post-Draft Outlook:
BEST PICK: Quarterback Sam Bradford -- An obvious choice. Now the face of the franchise, Bradford will be expected to excel for the next decade.

A closer look at the Rams' picks: Round 1/1 -- Sam Bradford, QB, 6-4, 236, Oklahoma: Once Bradford showed he was recovered from shoulder surgery, there wasn't much doubt he would be the Rams' pick. Now, they just have to work hard to put a good team behind him. - by The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout *Sam Bradford News
09/26/16 - QB Sam Bradford didn't dominate by any stretch of the imagination, but for the second straight game he didn't turn the ball over. In fact, the Vikings' offense has not turned the ball over all season. The only turnover the team has is safety Andrew Sendejo's fumble during a fumble return. The Vikings also protected Bradford extremely well considering they opened the game with left tackle Matt Kalil (hip) on injured reserve and played the final 2 1/2 quarters without left guard Alex Boone (hip).
09/25/16 - QB Sam Bradford completed 18 of 28 passes for 171 yards and one touchdown in the Vikings' win at Carolina on Sunday.
09/19/16 - QB Sam Bradford's 286 yards passing is the most by a player in his first game as a Viking. The record of 250 had stood since Fran Tarkenton threw for 250 yards in the first game in franchise history back in 1961.
09/18/16 - QB Sam Bradford, acquired from the Eagles at the end of the preseason after Teddy Bridgewater was lost to a knee injury, threw for 286 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his first start for the Vikings, a win over the Packers. "I thought he played well," Minnesota coach Mike Zimmer said of Bradford, who completed 22 of 31 passes. "It's a big credit to a guy that's come in here and in 15 days or whatever it was, he's learned enough of the offense to come in and perform against a team that's pressuring and blitzing and attacking him as much as they did."
09/17/16 - QB Sam Bradford is expected to start for the Minnesota Vikings when they make their U.S. Bank Stadium debut on Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers, according to ESPN. Bradford reportedly took all of the first-team snaps in practice this week. He replaces Shaun Hill, who served as the Vikings' quarterback in their 25-16 win over the Tennessee Titans in the season opener. Hill threw for 237 yards and did not turn the ball over, but Minnesota offered a 2017 first-round draft pick and a conditional 2018 fourth-round selection to get Bradford earlier this month after Teddy Bridgewater tore ligaments in his left knee on Aug. 30. Bradford, who previously played with the Philadelphia Eagles and the then-St. Louis Rams, has been familiarizing himself with the Vikings' playbook.
