Draft Scout *Sam Bradford News
09/11/14 - QB Sam Bradford, who tore the ACL in his left knee on Aug. 23 against the Browosn, underwent surgery Monday. Said Coach Jeff Fisher, "He'll be back in town here Friday and will be back with us next week. Doctors gave a good report. Sam decided over the weekend and we talked prior to the game that he wanted to go ahead and get it done and get on that comeback trail again that he knows so well."
08/27/14 - QB Sam Bradford (torn ACL) was placed on reserve/injured by the Rams Tuesday (Aug. 26)
08/24/14 - QB Sam Bradford injured his surgically repaired left knee and limped off the field during the first quarter of Saturday night's preseason game against the Browns in Cleveland.
There was no immediate word from the team on the severity of the injury, but ESPN reported that early tests showed no damage to the same knee that underwent surgery for a torn ACL last season.
An MRI is planned by Sunday to assess the condition of the knee, according to reports.
After the game, head coach Jeff Fisher said, "I really don't have any information for you as far as Sam is concerned ... We're very optimistic." Fisher also said the injury appeared to be a hyper-extension.
Wide receiver Brian Quick told reporters, "I was a little nervous about it but everything is all right. Sam told me that he is OK."
08/15/14 - QB Sam Bradford will play at least a quarter and "maybe a little bit more" against Green Bay on Saturday, according to coach Jeff Fisher. Bradford will have the opportunity, said Fisher "to continue doing the same things he's doing out here. Push the ball down the field. It's an opportunity to work against someone else and work with our receivers that he's been working very well with right now."
11/21/13 - QB Sam Bradford underwent knee surgery Monday (Nov. 18) to repair a torn ACL suffered on Oct. 20 against Carolina. Rams trainer Reggie Scott accompanied Bradford to Pensacola, Fla., where Dr. James Andrew did the surgery. Scott told coach Jeff Fisher the procedure went "very, very well." Fisher added, "It's a very, very healthy knee considering the circumstances, and so they were pleased."
