Post-Draft Outlook:
BEST PICK: Quarterback Sam Bradford -- An obvious choice. Now the face of the franchise, Bradford will be expected to excel for the next decade.

A closer look at the Rams' picks: Round 1/1 -- Sam Bradford, QB, 6-4, 236, Oklahoma: Once Bradford showed he was recovered from shoulder surgery, there wasn't much doubt he would be the Rams' pick. Now, they just have to work hard to put a good team behind him. - by The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout *Sam Bradford News
08/10/16 - QB Sam Bradford will start against Tampa Bay in Thursday night's preseason opener, but won't play more than a couple of series.
06/09/16 - QB Sam Bradford has had a very good spring. It's the first time in three years that he hasn't been rehabbing an ACL tear. Head coach Doug Pederson already has made it clear that Bradford will be the team's season-opening starter if he's healthy.
05/17/16 - QB Sam Bradford will be the team's season-opening starter, head coach Doug Pederson said Tuesday. He said Chase Daniel will be the team's backup and first-round pick Carson Wentz will open the season as the No 3 quarterback.
05/09/16 - QB Sam Bradford, upset when the Eagles drafted a quarterback with the second pick, has rejoined the team after a two-week absence. Bradford rescinded his trade demand and reported for the Eagles' voluntary offseason workouts on Monday. "I'm excited to be back on the field today with my teammates and coaches," Bradford said in a statement. "The business-side of football is sometimes a necessary consideration. My attention and efforts are focused on the participation in and preparation for a championship season. I am committed to my teammates and the Eagles organization for nothing less."
04/25/16 - QB Sam Bradford plans to boycott the Philadelphia Eagles and demanded a trade with the expectation the franchise intends to draft its quarterback of the future with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft on Thursday. The Eagles signed Bradford to a two-year, $36 million contract in March and after hiring Doug Pederson to replace Chip Kelly as head coach, brought in backup Chase Daniel with a three-year deal worth up to $21 million. Bradford, according to acting personnel boss Howie Roseman, remained entrenched as the starter even last week when the Eagles parted with a package of draft picks, including a first-rounder in 2017 and a second-rounder in 2018. That move assured the Eagles one of the top two quarterbacks in the 2016 draft: Cal's Jared Goff or Carson Wentz from North Dakota State. It also seemed to signal the end of any commitment to Bradford, who was acquired via trade from the Rams in 2015. Bradford was reportedly enflamed by the trade and ESPN reported Monday that his representatives demanded a trade and informed the Eagles that Bradford would not report. Bradford would have $18 million in dead money and a cap hit of $12.5 million in 2016. There would be interest in Bradford if the Eagles decide to oblige his request, but Daniel, 29, is a career backup with two starts in seven seasons. He attempted only two passes in 2015 with the Kansas City Chiefs. Roseman said last week that part of the attraction to the quarterbacks in the draft was the ideal setup he envisioned with a rookie training behind two experienced veterans. But if the Denver Broncos are willing to part with the 31st overall pick in the draft for Bradford, the Eagles might just be inclined to talk. The Broncos, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers -- the underlining irony of trading Bradford to a Kelly-run organization would be in play -- have all shown a high level of interest in adding a quarterback this offseason.
