Post-Draft Outlook:
BEST PICK: Quarterback Sam Bradford -- An obvious choice. Now the face of the franchise, Bradford will be expected to excel for the next decade.

A closer look at the Rams' picks: Round 1/1 -- Sam Bradford, QB, 6-4, 236, Oklahoma: Once Bradford showed he was recovered from shoulder surgery, there wasn't much doubt he would be the Rams' pick. Now, they just have to work hard to put a good team behind him. - by The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout *Sam Bradford News
08/02/15 - QB Sam Bradford was a full participant in practice Sunday. Bradford, who is coming off back-to-back ACL tears and didn't participate in any 11-on-11 work in the spring, shed the knee brace he wore in the spring. He looked fairly sharp in the 90-minute practice without pads. Both Bradford and Kelly said he will play in the Eagles' first preseason game against Indianapolis on Aug. 16, unless something unforeseen happens between now and then.
06/16/15 - QB Sam Bradford participated in 7-on-7 work in Tuesday's minicamp practice, but continued to be held out of 11-on-11 work. That will be the case for the final two days of minicamp, but Bradford said he expects to be a full practice participant when the Eagles open training camp on Aug. 2.
03/11/15 - The St. Louis Rams and Philadelphia Eagles are swapping quarterbacks. The Rams are sending former No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford to Chip Kelly and the Eagles in exchange for Nick Foles. St. Louis drafted Bradford out of Oklahoma in 2010. Bradford is coming off two ACL injuries and has started just seven games in the past two years. For his five-year career, Bradford sports an 18-30-1 record. In 2013, Foles emerged as a surprise starter after being drafted out of Arizona. He threw 27 touchdowns against just two interceptions as the Eagles advanced to the playoffs for the first time since 2010. He was unable to capture the same magic in 2014 and suffered a broken collarbone on Nov. 2. He was replaced by former New York Jets Mark Sanchez, who agreed to re-sign with the Eagles for two years. Once the trade is finalized, St.Louis will save about $13 million in base salary. Foles' salary is slightly more than $1.5 million. The Eagles now have traded last season's Opening Day quarterback and their leading rusher (LeSean McCoy) and watched their leading receiver (Jeremy Maclin) leave via free agency.
09/11/14 - QB Sam Bradford, who tore the ACL in his left knee on Aug. 23 against the Browosn, underwent surgery Monday. Said Coach Jeff Fisher, "He'll be back in town here Friday and will be back with us next week. Doctors gave a good report. Sam decided over the weekend and we talked prior to the game that he wanted to go ahead and get it done and get on that comeback trail again that he knows so well."
08/27/14 - QB Sam Bradford (torn ACL) was placed on reserve/injured by the Rams Tuesday (Aug. 26)
