Cumberland was injured when he took a blow to the head early in the third quarter of the Jets' 49-9 loss to the Bengals last Sunday. Cumberland has appeared in all eight games this season and is averaging 16.5 yards per catch, second-best on the Jets.

Rex Ryan said he would have an update on Cumberland's condition on Wednesday, though the New York Daily News reported Cumberland had a "mild" concussion. Cumberland had a nine-yard catch Sunday and has 15 receptions for 248 yards and two touchdowns this year.

10/11/13 - TE Jeff Cumberland has a pair of touchdown receptions and will see increased snaps in Kellen Winslow's absence due to a four-game suspension, as will Konrad Reuland in two-tight end sets. The Jets also have rookie Zach Sedfeld, who was signed after being released by New England.
"We have a really good tight end in Jeff Cumberland," Jets head coach Rex Ryan said. "The guy's a young stud tight end, big guy, can block and he does a nice job receiving. He's a good player."
A four-year veteran out of Illinois, Cumberland caught three passes for 79 yards and a touchdown against Atlanta.
