Post-Draft Outlook:
A closer look at the Hawks' picks: Round 6/185 -- Anthony McCoy, TE, 6-4, 249, USC: Given a third-round grade, McCoy dropped because he tested positive for marijuana at the NFL Scouting combine. McCoy is the only USC player that former Trojans head coach Pete Carroll drafted. - by The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout Anthony McCoy News
03/09/15 - TE Anthony McCoy, who was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent, re-signed with the Seahawks Monday (March 9). McCoy, 27, appeared in 34 games for Seattle from 2010-12 and made 14 starts. He spent each of the past two seasons on injured reserve due to Achilles problems. For his career, he has 31 catches for 437 yards and three touchdowns.
03/04/15 - TE Anthony McCoy has missed the last two seasons with injuries to his Achilles. But he played well in 2012 and the team needs tight ends, so he could get another shot with the Seahawks.
08/05/14 - TE Anthony McCoy was placed on reserve/injured July 31 after clearing waivers.
05/29/13 - Tight end Anthony McCoy, who suffered a torn Achilles' tendon in practice last week, was waived/injured by the Seahawks.
05/24/13 - The biggest fear for NFL teams during offseason training activities (OTAs) is major non-contact injuries, and the Seattle Seahawks are the latest team to fall prey to the dreaded injury bug with tight end Anthony McCoy undergoing surgery Thursday for a torn Achilles tendon. The surgery was performed by Dr. Ed Khalfayan at Seattle Surgery Center. McCoy was injured during this week's OTAs and is expected to be out for at least six months. That means he'll open the season on the Physically Unable to Perform List, sidelining him for at least the first six weeks of the season, if not the full year. McCoy caught 18 passes while starting seven games last season. He is a good athlete and complement to Zach Miller. With McCoy out, the team will have to accelerate the development of fifth-round rookie draft pick Luke Wilson. Second-year players Sean McGrath and Cooper Helfet are also in the mix for additional playing time. Division-rival San Francisco suffered a more serious blow earlier this week when wide receiver Michael Crabtree also underwent surgery for an Achilles injury.
