Post-Draft Outlook:
A closer look at the Broncos' picks: Round 1/12 -- Knowshon Moreno, RB, 5-10, 217, Georgia...Denver was smitten with Moreno's versatility. He obviously is a good runner, but the Broncos also like the fact that he can catch the ball out of the backfield and pick up the blitz. Denver signed Correll Buckhalter, J.J. Arrington and LaMont Jordan this offseason and have Peyton Hillis, Ryan Torain and Selvin Young still on the roster, but Moreno will play right away. - by The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout *Knowshon Moreno News
03/31/14 - RB Knowshon Moreno signed a one-year contract with the Dolphins. According to reports, the deal is worth up to $3 million. "I would like to welcome Knowshon Moreno to the Miami Dolphins," Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey said. "Knowshon is an experienced, productive, three-down player and adds another multi-threat to our backfield. "He is an accomplished 1,000-yard rusher who also caught 60 passes out of the backfield last season as well. We are excited about the contributions he will make to our offense." Moreno, who met with the Dolphins last week, was an every-down back for the Denver Broncos last season. He rushed for 1,038 yards and 10 touchdowns and caught 60 passes for 548 yards and three scores. Moreno, who averaged 4.3 yards per carry, will likely compete with Lamar Miller for carries. Miller and Daniel Thomas totaled 1,105 yards and six touchdowns as Miami's leading rushers last season. "I think the main thing (behind choosing Miami) was just getting the opportunity to go down and meet with the coaches and meet with the different people working at the facility and just building a short relationship with those guys and coming in and having a good time," Moreno said. "You know when I get out there I'm going to work hard. Do what I have to do to learn the new system and meet the new guys and build relationship and get to work from there."
01/25/14 - RB Knowshon Moreno was limited in practice Thursday and Friday after suffering a rib injury against the Patriots. X-rays on Moreno's ribs were negative, and while he is considered "day-to-day," he is expected to play against the Seahawks.
01/23/14 - RB Knowshon Moreno was limited in practice Thursday after suffering a rib injury in the AFC Championship Game. X-rays on Moreno's ribs were negative, and while he is considered "day-to-day," he is expected to play against the Seahawks.
01/21/14 - RB Knowshon Moreno left the AFC Championship Game in the fourth quarter because of a chest injury, but X-rays were negative and showed no damage to his ribs. Moreno will be considered "day-to-day" when the Broncos return to practice Thursday.
01/16/14 - -- RB Knowshon Moreno credits Manning with much of his rise this year. Moreno said Manning has taught him "how to be a pro" by expecting perfection from him. Manning is equally enamored of Moreno and noted that the fifth-year runner's presence makes him feel "real comfortable" in the shotgun formation.
