Post-Draft Outlook:
A closer look at the Cowboys picks: Round 6/179 -- Sam Young, OT, 6-8, 316, Notre Dame: He started four straight years at Notre Dame, which speaks volumes. He blocks his man, although he lacks great lateral quickness. Young will be tried out at right tackle. - by The Sports Xchange

04/25/10 - A closer look at the Cowboys picks: Round 6/179 -- Sam Young, OT, 6-8, 316, Notre Dame: He started four straight years at Notre Dame, which speaks volumes. He blocks his man, although he lacks great lateral quickness. Young will be tried out at right tackle.
04/06/10 - Sam Young is finishing up his final class at Notre Dame this spring, but he will take a break so he can come home and work out for the Dolphins on Friday. Young, a 6-foot-8, 320-pound offensive lineman, is from Coral Springs and was a four-year starter for the Irish. This will be Young's first workout for an NFL team, and it happens to be the one he grew up cheering for. "I did everything with the pro days and the combine," said Young, who played for St. Thomas Aquinas before going to Notre Dame. "I've just been staying here, working out, talking to teams on the phone every once in a while." Young is projected in most mock NFL drafts as a fifth-round pick. Young could get a chance to catch up with a former St. Thomas teammate Friday, as safety Major Wright is also expected to be at the workout. - Ted Hutton, Sun Sentinel
