Draft Scout Andy Dalton News
09/15/14 - QB Andy Dalton has averaged 16.8 yards per completion, the highest mark of his career. He also improved to 11-1 in games in which he does not throw an interception.
09/14/14 - QB Andy Dalton is playing the best football of his career under first-year offensive coordinator Hue Jackson. While it helps that Dalton hasn't been sacked in two games this season, he also hasn't thrown an interception. In Sunday's 24-10 victory over Atlanta, Dalton was 15-for-23 for 252 yards and a touchdown.
09/10/14 - QB Andy Dalton is 71 for 100 (71 percent) with nine touchdowns and one interception in his last three games against NFC opponents.
09/07/14 - QB Andy Dalton appears to have at least initially taken the next step as the Bengals starter. After being held out of the end zone for the entire game, Dalton threw a game-winning 77-yard touchdown to A.J. Green with 5:48 left in the fourth quarter as the Bengals beat the Ravens, 23-16. Dalton managed the game and did not commit a turnover. Last season, he threw 20 interceptions, including seven just against Baltimore. Dalton was 25 of 38 for 301 yards and he hopes the turnover woes are behind him. "We knew most of these games come down to turnovers," Dalton said. "We came into the game with the goal of not having any turnovers and we felt we could win if we didn't turn the ball over, which we did."
04/30/14 - QB Andy Dalton said one of the biggest reasons quarterbacks are being paid such astronomical amounts of money is because they are asked to be the face of the franchise. For a player at a crossroads of contract negotiations in his Bengals career, it begged the obvious question: Do you think you're the face of the franchise?
"I do," Dalton said. "I feel like in everything that Marvin has said, that (offensive coordinator) Hue (Jackson) has said and everybody here has told me that and has told everybody that. I'm confident with that. I hope to spend a lot of my career here. Hopefully, we can get something done."
