11/06/09 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: Safety Antonio Baker picked off his 10th career pass last week against Idaho. For Louisiana Tech to have a shot at the upset against Boise State, it will need turnovers. Unfortunately, Boise State QB Kellen Moore completes more than 67 percent of his passes and has thrown just two interceptions this season in 227 attempts.
09/19/09 - Center Lon Roberts and safety Antonio Baker are in line to make their team-leading 28th career start on Saturday at Nicholls State.
09/15/09 - Backups behind C Lon Roberts and S Antonio Baker might as well be sitting with the band. Roberts and Baker made their team-high 27th starts Sept. 12 at Navy.
09/15/09 - GAME BALL GOES TO: Safety Antonio Baker - With a team-high 12 tackles against Navy, and seven more last week at Auburn, Baker is proving to be a reliable force for Louisiana Tech. It would be nice if the Bulldogs could always play the service academies. With the 14 tackles Baker had against Army in 2008, he is now averaging 13 tackle per game against the academies.
09/15/09 - LOOKING GOOD: Safety Antonio Baker stepped up to make a team-high 12 tackles against Navy. Usually when a member of your secondary is leading your team in tackles, you're in trouble. But when the game is against an offense like Navy's, having a safety willing to step up and get in the thick of things is a huge benefit. LBs Jay Dudley (nine) and Solomon Randle (five) each had career highs in tackles and played solid games.
