04/28/09 - A closer look at the Cardinals' picks: Round 7/254 -- Trevor Canfield, OG, 6-5, 307, Cincinnati...A developmental player and likely headed for the practice squad, provided he shows enough ability this summer.
03/28/09 - A mauler, Canfield is as subtle as a punch in the mouth -- and just as effective. He has a good combination of height, long arms, agility and a downright nasty disposition between the snap and the whistle. He not only blocks defenders, he blocks through them. He started 39 consecutive games and coaches credit him with 300 knockdown blocks in that time. He also had 37 blocks that resulted in touchdowns. He was by far the most effective pass blocker on a team that gave up 134 sacks and 80 quarterback pressures while he was starting. He was responsible for only seven sacks and three pressures in his career and as a senior gave up three sacks and one pressure on 472 pass plays. - Frank Cooney, The Sports Xchange, NFLDraftScout.com
03/24/09 - Cincinnati Pro day: 28 NFL teams sent representatives and 12 position coaches were in attendance. OG Trevor Canfield (6-4 3/4, 308 pounds) had times of 5.30 and 5.31 in the 40-yard dash, with a 32-inch vertical and a 9-foot, 1-inch broad jump. He had a 4.90 short shuttle, a 7.86 three-cone time and 32 reps on the bench press. – Gil Brandt, NFL.com
