 Draft Scout Boris Lee News
08/19/10 - LB Boris Lee signed with the Jets. He was waived by the Chargers in June.
06/09/10 - LB Boris Lee (Troy) was waived by San Diego.
05/20/10 - LB Boris Lee, a rookie free agent, signed with San Diego.
03/16/10 - PRO DAY RESULTS: Seven notable prospects worked out for representatives from 31 teams, including coaches from Jacksonville, the New York Giants and Green Bay. LB Boris Lee (6-0 1/4, 237) ran a 4.83 and 4.89 in the 40, a 4.57 short, a 7.33 three-cone and did not do the bench press. He kept his vertical and broad jump numbers from the combine. – Gil Brandt, NFL.com
01/10/10 - Lee said he will begin to prepare for the February event, even if he is a little apprehensive about the future. “I’m not going to lie, I am going to be nervous when I first get there,” he said. “But I have talked to some of my old teammates who went through it and asked them what to expect. “After doing that, I felt better about it – but I still think I am going to have butterflies out the yin-yang,” the senior laughed. The two players Lee spoke to were Leodis McKlevin and Sherrod Martin, both of whom were selected in the NFL Draft in 2008 and 2009. So what is the biggest thing that Lee wants to show off at the combine? His speed. “I think I can improve upon everything, but speed is my main goal,” he said. “I want to show people that I am fast. Last time I ran the [40-yard dash] was about two years ago and I think I have gotten faster since then.” Players who are asked to come to the combine usually have a very high probability of getting drafted in the fourth-coming draft, something Lee himself acknowledged. “Playing in the NFL is a big possibility for me,” Lee said. “All I want...all I need is a shot to show what I can do, and at the combine I will get that shot,” he added. “The combine is just a big bonus for me." - Greg Rossino, Troy Messenger
