Draft Scout News
04/16/13 - New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is expected to be ready for the start of training camp in late July, following offseason shoulder surgery, but the NFL Network reported Tuesday morning.
However, Hernandez is likely to miss OTAs and the team's minicamp in June, the report said.
Hernandez, 23, had 51 catches in 10 regular-season games during the 2012 season, but missed six games with an ankle injury sustained in a Week 2 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
01/22/13 - TE Aaron Hernandez, who took Rob Gronkowski's role Sunday, finished with seven catches and now has at least six catches in each of his last four playoff games dating back to last season.
01/16/13 - TE Aaron Hernandez figures to benefit from Rob Gronkowski's absence Sunday. Hernandez's targets increased greatly when Gronkowski was out during the regular season, so expect to see him get anywhere between 10 and 12 targets Sunday.
01/11/13 - TE Aaron Hernandez continues to be limited in practice with an ankle injury though he played his usual snaps in each of the final six games of the season.
01/09/13 - TE Aaron Hernandez could be a wild-card of sorts Sunday with all the attention being given to Rob Gronkowski. The latter didn't play in the first game, and teams tend to overcompensate for him, often leaving Hernandez as the beneficiary.
