Draft Scout Dan Herron News
10/20/14 - RB Daniel "Boom" Herron impressed during a late appearance in the Cincinnati game. Herron was inserted into the offensive lineup when Trent Richardson left with a hamstring issue. The former Ohio State standout ran for 37 yards on five carries, helping Indianapolis run time off the clock in the final minutes.
08/25/14 - RB Daniel "Boom" Herron continues to impress. Herron had a game-high 68 yards rushing in eight carries against the Saints. He played primarily in the second half of the New Orleans game. Herron is the Colts' No. 3 running back but could work himself into a prominent role in the team's offense this season.
08/15/14 - RB Daniel "Boom" Herron is looking for a second straight strong performance when the Colts face the New York Giants at Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday night.
Herron was Indianapolis' leading rusher and scored on a short touchdown pass last week from QB Matt Hasselbeck.
"Just play better. I can't do anything right now but keep getting better. Just keep attacking it. Like I said, it's an opportunity for me right now, so I just want to keep getting better and show them my ability," Herron said.
"I come out here every day like I haven't made the team. I'm attacking it like I'm a first-year guy, a guy that nobody knows. I'm just attacking it like I want to be a part of the team."
08/09/14 - RB Daniel "Boom" Herron played well in a backup role in the preseason opening loss to the Jets. Herron is fighting to be the Colts No. 3 running back behind starter Trent Richardson and primary backup Ahmad Bradshaw. Herron scored Indianapolis' lone touchdown.
12/03/13 - RB Dan Herron (pectoral) was hurt in the second quarter of the Titans game. He underwent an MRI Sunday night and was diagnosed with a torn pectoral. Herron is out for the remainder of the season and will be placed on injured reserve.
