01/14/15 - RB Daniel "Boom" Herron's 31 touches in the AFC Divisional Playoff Game at Denver last week was the most for a Colts running back since Dominic Rhodes had 35 in the 2007 regular-season finale. Herron has caught 18 passes for 117 yards in the Colts' post-season wins over Cincinnati and Denver. He had 21 receptions total during the regular season.
01/12/15 - RB Daniel "Boom" Herron played 68 of 75 offensive snaps against the Broncos. He touched the ball (rushes and receptions) a total of 31 times. Herron has caught 18 of the 19 passes thrown his way in the team's first two post-season games.
Herron suffered an apparent shoulder injury in the first half of the Denver game. He came out of the game briefly but then returned and played the rest of the day. Herron is expected to start Sunday at New England.
12/01/14 - RB Daniel "Boom" Herron continues to impress. Herron had a 49-yard touchdown run against Washington. He also had a fumble, his second lost possession in two games. "Yeah, he's a talented, talented guy and I think we've seen that out of him," coach Chuck Pagano said. "He's quick, he's fast to hit the hole and, once he gets outside, he's got some long speed. I think we all found that out. It's always nice to be able to get outside and get those guys loose in the secondary and have a guy that can take it the distance. It was a nice run."
11/24/14 - RB Daniel "Boom" Herron had a game-high 65 yards rushing in 12 carries while catching five passes for 31 yards in his first game as a Colts starter. Herron got the surprise start against Jacksonville ahead of RB Trent Richardson.
10/20/14 - RB Daniel "Boom" Herron impressed during a late appearance in the Cincinnati game. Herron was inserted into the offensive lineup when Trent Richardson left with a hamstring issue. The former Ohio State standout ran for 37 yards on five carries, helping Indianapolis run time off the clock in the final minutes.
