 Draft Scout Rodney Hudson News
03/11/15 - C Rodney Hudson left the Chiefs for the Raiders Tuesday (March 10). His contract is worth $44.5 million over five years and includes a $6.9 million roster bonus this year and $20 million guaranteed. Hudson has started 31 games at center over the last two seasons for the Kansas City Chiefs. Entering his fifth NFL season, Hudson has appeared in 51 games with 35 starts for Kansas City. He was originally selected by the Chiefs in the second round (55th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft. After playing in all 16 games as a rookie, Hudson started the first three games at left guard in 2012 before suffering a season-ending leg injury. He took over as the team's starting center in 2013, helping Kansas City to back-to-back winning seasons from 2013-14.
03/04/15 - C Rodney Hudson is coming off his best season since joining the Chiefs in the second round of the 2011 draft. He started all 16 games and was easily the most productive and efficient blocker Andy Reid's offense had in 2014. The Chiefs must find a way to keep him.
08/05/14 - C Rodney Hudson has been very strong in the first 10 days of the Chiefs training camp where he has shown improved pass protection blocking in one-on-one battles against Pro Bowl nose tackle Dontari Poe.
08/05/14 - C Rodney Hudson has been very strong in the first 10 days of the Chiefs training camp where he has shown improved pass protection blocking in one-on-one battles against Pro Bowl nose tackle Dontari Poe.
09/26/12 - C Rodney Hudson was placed on the injured-reserve list on Sept. 26 with a broken bone in his right leg. The injury occurred in the Chiefs game in New Orleans when he was kicked in the leg by a Saints defensive lineman on a pass rush. There's a chance he could be rehabbed by the last few games of the season, but the Chiefs did not put the return designation on him.
