2010: A two-time consensus All-American and a finalist for the 2010 Doak Walker Award given to America's top running back, Hunter was the runner-up to teammate Justin Blackmon as the 2010 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. Additionally, he finished his career ranked third all-time at OSU with 20 games of more than 100 rushing yards...2009: Ran for 382 yards on 89 carries in eight games ... Wasn't truly healthy until the bowl game and he showed familiar form when ran for 94 yards on just nine carries against Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl, including a 46-yard scamper ...2008: The Big 12's leading rusher by more than 30 yards per game ... Enjoyed a sensational season that saw him run for 14 touchdowns and grab one TD pass (vs. OU) ... The nation's seventh leading rusher with 119.6 yards per game, including nine 100-yard rushing games ... His nine 100-yard outings in a single season represent the fifth best total in Cowboy history, behind only Heisman winner Barry Sanders (12), Heisman runner-up Terry Miller (11), all-Big 12 back Dantrell Savage (10) and All-American and NFL Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas (10) ...  Draft Scout Kendall Hunter News
11/27/12 - RB Kendall Hunter was placed on reserve/injured by the 49ers Tuesday. Hunter reportedly has a torn left Achilles, an injury the 49ers reported as an ankle injury when he left last week's game.
11/26/12 - RB Kendall Hunter's status (ankle) is still unclear, but if he misses Sunday's game at St. Louis, RB Brandon Jacobs' role would seemingly increase. Jacobs had two carries on Sunday against New Orleans, but one was called back due a holding penalty. It was his first appearance in a game this season. "You saw (Jacobs) in the game," Harbaugh said. "He had two carries, one where he really worked his way for a three- or four-yard first down and we had a penalty on that play as well. Yeah, he's been doing some good things and showing some good things."
11/25/12 - RB Kendall Hunter left the game with an ankle injury. His status was unknown.
10/25/12 - RB Kendall Hunter is averaging 5.2 yards per carry. Hunter and Frank Gore (5.8 yards per carry) are the only running backs to rank in the top five for highest yards per carry average from the same team.
09/24/12 - RB/KR Kendall Hunter carried the ball four times for no yards and was replaced as the kick returner in the second half. The 49ers could have options at running back, including rookie LaMichael James, who has yet to be activated for a game this year.
