Draft Scout Duke Ihenacho News
09/16/15 - S Duke Ihenacho (wrist surgery) was placed on reserve/injured by the Raiders Tuesday (Sept. 15).
09/15/15 - S Duke Ihenacho lasted all of three games with Washington in 2014 before suffering a season-ending foot injury. Sunday in his first Redskins start, Ihenacho fractured and dislocated his left wrist during the first quarter and will need surgery. Gruden said the Redskins are contemplating whether to place him on injured reserve, designated for return from which he could return or season-ending IR.
Holdover backup Trenton Robinson replaced Ihenacho against Miami. Either Robinson or former Seattle backup Jeron Johnson will likely be the starter until Ihenacho returns with rookie Kyshoen Jarrett behind them.
"We're OK there," Gruden said. "Trenton came in and played fairly well. Jeron's a veteran guy, but he missed a lot of camp with his hamstring issues. Kyshoen can play (both safety spots)."
