 Draft Scout Jerrel Jernigan News
12/05/12 - WR Jerrel Jernigan has started to get some snaps on offense and special teams, a trend that is likely to continue this week if Domenik Hixon is unable to play.
12/05/12 - WR Jerrel Jernigan, who saw time this week as the team's fourth receiver, caught his second pass of the season and first since October 7 vs. Cleveland.
12/02/12 - WR Jerrel Jernigan could start seeing more opportunities on special teams as the kickoff returner if David Wilson's role on offense expands. Jernigan had initially auditioned for the kickoff return role, but had issues with ball security.
10/07/12 - WR Jerrel Jernigan had his first career reception in the third quarter, a six-yard pickup on third-and-10.
08/04/12 - WR Jerrel Jernigan, who is competing for the punt return position, made an adjustment in how he fields punts. Whereas in the past, Jernigan would catch punts the same way he caught passes – palms facing out -- he said that head coach Tom Coughlin personally worked with him to get him to turn his palms up when awaiting the ball.
