 Draft Scout News
01/15/10 - TE James Casey was an undersized tight end who hadn't played on the line. He had to learn to block. He also was the backup fullback. He's ideally suited for H-back because he has good speed and excellent hands.
12/02/09 - TE James Casey has benefited the most from the season-ending injury to TE Owen Daniels. The rookie has six catches for 64 yards in the three games since Daniels was injured.
11/24/09 - TE James Casey, a fifth-round pick from Rice, had two catches for 33 yards. That tied his career high for receptions. After catching two passes in the last game against Indianapolis, he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery. He returned for the Tennessee game.
11/18/09 - TE James Casey, a fifth-round draft choice, missed the last game after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery. He's 100 percent now. Watch him get a few passes thrown to him. He has excellent hands.
11/17/09 - TE James Casey, a fifth-round draft pick, will back up starter Joel Dreessen against Tennessee. Casey, who's also the backup at fullback, missed the Indianapolis game after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery. He returned to practice this week and will be ready for the Titans.
