 Draft Scout Brandon Hardin News
09/02/13 - S Brandon Hardin was placed on reserve/injured Sunday.
09/01/13 - S Brandon Hardin was waived/injured by the Bears Saturday and will be placed on erserve/injured after clearing waivers.
04/29/12 - COULD SURPRISE: Safety Brandon Hardin. At 6-3 and 220 pounds, he had the athleticism to play cornerback at Oregon State, but he projects to strong safety and has the toughness, size and tackling ability to thrive there. Had he not missed the entire 2011 season with a fractured shoulder, Hardin would have been a much hotter prospect, and the Bears are assured that he is 100 percent healthy. - The Sports Xchange
04/29/12 - A closer look at the Bears' picks: Round 3/79 - Brandon Hardin, S, 6-3, 220, Oregon State...Missed the 2011 season with a fractured shoulder that required season-ending surgery, although he returned to play in the East-West Shrine Game. Has been cleared medically by the Bears. Started 12 games at cornerback as a junior in 2010, but the Bears will play him at strong safety. High marks for physical, aggressive tackling. COULD SURPRISE: Safety Brandon Hardin. 04/29/12 - The Bears will play third-round pick Brandon Hardin at strong safety, which will necessitate a position switch from cornerback, but they believe his physical traits project well to the new spot. "It's concerning that we're moving him into a projection area," Emery said. "(But it's) not a concern because of his physical nature, his toughness. He will strike you. He's not afraid of contact. "Sometimes you worry a little bit about that with corners. They're kind of skill/finesse guys. What kind of tackler will they be if you move them to safety? I have no worry about this guy. He will come down in the box and strike people." - The Sports Xchange
