 Draft Scout D.J. Harper News
08/27/13 - RB D.J. Harper waived by the 49ers Monday.
03/28/13 - 2013 Boise State Pro Day: Representatives from 13 NFL teams gathered at Boise State’s pro day on Thursday, where 11 players went through a workout indoors on FieldTurf. D.J. Harper, RB (5-foot-9 1/8, 209 pounds) - Harper ran the 40-yard dash in 4.48 and 4.49 seconds. He ran the short shuttle in 4.19 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.87 seconds. He stood on the rest of his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine. Harper did positional drills and caught the ball very well. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com
03/24/13 - 2013 Boise State Pro Day: Boise State's other combine invitee, tailback D.J. Harper, ran the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, 60-yard shuttle and three-cone drill at pro day to improve his times. He did that across the board -- posting times that would have finished in the top six among running backs at the combine. He lowered his 40 time from 4.52 seconds (tied for sixth at the combine) to 4.45 (would have been third).

"My 40 time was top six among running backs and the other numbers were solid as well (at the combine)," Harper said, "but I knew personally I could do better because at my (training) facility I had done better and even here I had done better, so I might as well redo it, improve those times and look a little better." - Derek Harper, The Sports Xchange

12/13/12 - 2012 ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES & MEDIA): D.J. Harper, Sr., RB, has been selected Honorable Mention All-Mountain West Conference (Coaches & Media selection) for the 2012 college football season. Harper, a sixth-year senior running back from Cypress, Texas, became the 12th player in school history to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season. He started all 12 games, and his 15 touchdowns in 2012 are tied for the sixth-most all-time at Boise State. - Boise State football
11/17/12 - Boise State scored on its first offensive play Saturday and never looked back in a 42-14 victory over Colorado State. Senior D.J. Harper went untouched on an 80-yard touchdown run, and the Broncos (9-2, 6-1 Mountain West) scored on five of their six first-half possessions against the Rams (3-8, 2-5) to keep their conference title hopes alive. Boise State entered the day tied with Fresno State and San Diego State in the Mountain West.

Harper, a sixth-year senior playing in the final home game of his career, finished with 107 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Quarterback Joe Southwick completed 17-of-20 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns in a little more than one half of action. Colorado State trailed 42-0 when it finally scored on a career-long 72-yard run by Chris Nwoke with 2:09 in the third quarter. The Rams managed only 229 total yards and had three turnovers. - AP Sports
