Manumaleuna finished his career with 144 tackles, 17 for losses and 6.5 sacks. He played in four games in 2012 before suffering a knee injury and was granted a medical redshirt year and returned in 2013 to start all 13 games. 12/24/13 - 2013 FBS ALL-INDEPENDENT FIRST TEAM (MEDIA): DL Eathyn Manumaleuna (Sr.) BYU,...Has been selected to the 2013 FBS All-Independent First Team named by the nationwide media panel responsible for the FBS Independent Player of the Week awards. - BYU football
08/27/13 - One of the candidates to replace the graduated Romney Fuga at nose tackle is Marques Johnson, a 305-pound junior from El Camino CC in California. "Marques has had a transformation. Man, he was one of the players at the end of spring when he was told where he stood and what he was going to have to do, from what I saw today, he has worked really hard," BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall said. That would be a big development, because it would allow Eathyn Manumaleuna to switch to his more natural position of defensive end. Remember, he was the starter before getting hurt. That afforded the raw Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah to get more playing time. All Ansah did was become the NFL draft's No. 5 pick last spring. - The Sports Xchange
