Post-Draft Outlook: A closer look at the Eagles' picks: Round 2/53 -- LeSean McCoy, RB, 5-11, 204, Pittsburgh...With Brian Westbrook turning 30 in September -- he was slowed by a knee injury last season -- the Eagles needed to get a back who could step in immediately and share the load with Westbrook. McCoy is a fast, explosive runner who can catch the ball out of the backfield. The biggest concern with him is his blocking; if he can't block well enough to protect the quarterback, he won't get on the field. - by The Sports Xchange

Draft Scout *LeSean McCoy News
11/24/14 - RB LeSean McCoy rushed for 100-plus yards for the third time in the last six games, putting up 130 on 21 carries against an admittedly bad Tennessee run defense. McCoy and Darren Sproles both had rushing touchdowns.
11/23/14 - RB LeSean McCoy usually enjoys a good relationship with Philadelphia-area media, but he got a little testy this past week when he was repeatedly asked about his -- for him -- substandard season. Well, actions speak louder than words, and McCoy's actions Sunday spoke volumes -- he rushed for 130 yards on 21 carries, an average of 6.2 yards per attempt.
10/12/14 - RB LeSean McCoy, who came into Sunday night averaging just 54 yards per game and 2.9 yards per carry, had 85 yards by halftime, averaging 7.1 yards per carry. He finished with 149 yards on 22 carries, an average of 6.8 yards per attempt. QB Nick Foles thinks a big part of McCoy's success was his approach. "He was hitting the lanes hard," Foles said. "He wasn't trying to bounce it (outside). If he felt like he didn't have anything, he cut up inside for 3 or 4 yards. That really helps us out."
10/05/14 - RB LeSean McCoy, who was held to just 17 and 22 rushing yards the last two weeks, did a little better on Sunday, rushing for 81 yards on 24 carries. "I thought there were a lot more lanes today,'' McCoy said. "The guys up front did a great job. I think I have to do a better job of breaking more tackles. Today, there were too many times when one guy saved the play for them.''
09/30/14 - RB LeSean McCoy, who had just 172 rushing yards in the first four games, insists he is not hurt. His coach, Chip Kelly said he is "healthy."
