Draft Scout Bobby Rainey News
11/03/14 - RB Bobby Rainey had a strong first half Sunday, rushing 15 times for 80 yards as the Bucs took a 10-9 lead into the second half against the Browns.
And while the Bucs never trailed by more than six points, they got away from the run in the second half, with Rainey getting only four carries for 7 yards and the team rushing just eight times for 17 yards. The glaring play? A second-and-1 at the Browns' 37-yard line with 2:00 left in the game, when the Bucs didn't run and instead threw the first of three straight incompletions to end their final drive.
11/02/14 - RB Bobby Rainey started for the Bucs and showed his former team he has some nifty moves. He rushed 19 times for 87 yards. Strangely, he did not touch the ball in the final two minutes when the Bucs had second-and-1, third-and-1 and fourth-and-1 at the Browns 37 while trailing 22-17.
09/19/14 - RB Bobby Rainey started in place of the injured Doug Martin. Rainey finished with 41 yards on 11 carries and caught seven passes for 64 yards. But the Bucs finished with only 64 yards on the ground.
09/19/14 - RB Bobby Rainey has lost three fumbles this season and was benched for much of Thursday night's game.
09/15/14 - RB Bobby Rainey came up huge stepping in for an injured Doug Martin on Sunday, rushing for 144 yards and adding another 30 on passes, but that was all lost in the final score of a 19-17 loss to the Rams.
"That doesn't matter when we lose," Rainey said. "You can have all the yards that you want, and if your team comes out with a loss, it means nothing. At the end of the day, it's about the team."
