04/01/16 - RB Stevan Ridley agreed to a one-year deal with The Detroit Lions on Friday. Ridley had just 90 yards on 36 carries last season in eight games. He was returning from an ACL injury. Ridley spent his first four years with the New England Patriots and rushed for 1,263 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2012.
11/14/15 - RB Stevan Ridley made his Jets debut Thursday night, when he rushed for negative-1 yard on three carries in a 22-17 loss to the Bills. It was the first game action of any kind for Ridley since Oct. 12, 2014, when he suffered ACL and MCL injuries while playing for the New England Patriots. Despite the inauspicious start on Thursday, Ridley should become the Jets' No. 2 back now that RB Zac Stacy (broken ankle) is out for the season.
11/01/15 - RB Stevan Ridley was activated from reserve/physically unable to perform by the Jets Friday (Oct. 30).
10/22/15 - RB Stevan Ridley, currently on reserve/physically unable to perform, had his 21-day practice period begin Wednesday (Oct. 21) with the Giants.
10/14/15 - RB Stevan Ridley (knee) may not be ready to practice when first eligible the week of Oct. 26. Ridley opened the season on the physically unable to perform list, which meant he could not practice with the Jets until after the team's sixth game. But the Newark Star-Ledger reported last weekend that Ridley, who tore his ACL and MCL last Oct. 12 while playing for the Patriots, didn't appear close to being "game-ready." Head coach Todd Bowles spoke optimistically of Ridley's progress on Monday. Ridley signed a one-year deal worth $1.25 million in April.
