12/03/13 - RB Stevan Ridley was a healthy scratch in Houston, this after fumbling in each of the last three games. Ridley had played in all 16 games in each of his first two seasons in New England, including a year ago when he started 12 games on the way to a 1,200-yard season.
11/19/13 - RB Stevan Ridley scored a touchdown and led the Patriots with 13 carries in the loss in Carolina. But the lead back also fumbled in the red zone, putting the ball on the ground for the second straight week and losing a fumble for the third time this season. The turnover saw Ridley on the sideline for a while in Carolina, but he got a chance to get back in action and then find the end zone for the fifth straight week. But Ridley wasn't sure that chance was going to come.
"I wouldn't have been surprised if I had been on the bench the rest of the game," he said. "Every series is critical. Every possession counts. I just have to keep my head high and just keep working hard.
"It was good to go in there and get a score and tie us up. I just wish I could eliminate the mistake before the touchdown, then the day would have been a little bit better for me."
10/14/13 - --RB Stevan Ridley returned to action against the Saints after missing the previous week's trip to Cincinnati with a knee injury. Ridley led the Patriots with a season-high 96 yards with two short touchdowns on 20 carries.
