Draft Scout Robert Turbin News
10/12/16 - RB Robert Turbin (shoulder/wrist) fully practiced Wednesday. Turbin was hurt in practice late last week and was inactive against Chicago. He should be OK to play in Sunday's game against the Houston Texans (8:30 p.m., ET).
10/10/16 - RB Robert Turbin (wrist/shoulder) was a pregame inactive against the Bears. Turbin did not practice last Friday. His status for Sunday night's game at Houston will be determined after practice this week.
03/16/16 - RB Robert Turbin, who became an unrestricted free agent with the Cowboys March 9, agreed to terms with the Colts Tuesday (March 15).
11/25/15 - RB Robert Turbin is happy and thankful to be with the Cowboys and the team is happy to have him. He has finally given them a complementary change-of-pace back to pair with starter Darren McFadden.
Turbin showed as much in gaining 35 yards on seven carries, including a 17-yard run, against the Dolphins last Sunday. He did that after just three days with the team and by memorizing the Cowboys' playbook and audibles.
"He's been impressive right from the start. You can tell he's a pro," head coach Jason Garrett said. "He's a physical football player. He did a good job running the ball downhill and was pretty good in protection, too."
Turbin was released by the Seattle Seahawks and Cleveland Browns this season.
"I shed a couple of tears watching games on Sunday the last couple of weeks," Turbin said. "This team still has dreams and I'm just blessed to have an opportunity to try and help them. I've played in games to decide the division and home field. I've played in playoff games and I hope I can help this team reach its goal this season."
11/19/15 - RB Robert Turbin was signed to the team to give the Cowboys another veteran running back behind Darren McFadden after Christine Michael was released on Tuesday.
The four-year veteran has appeared in 50 career games with the Seahawks and Browns, rushing 249 times for 988 yards.
The Seahawks waived Turbin before the season with an injury settlement after he suffered a high ankle sprain in the third preseason game. The Browns claimed him, and he spent five weeks recovering from the injury. In three games with Cleveland this season he had 18 carries for 60 yards.
