09/01/15 - DE Muhammad Wilkerson made his preseason debut Saturday, when he played 26 snaps with the first team in the Jets' win over the Giants. Wilkerson showed no ill effects from the hamstring injury that sidelined him for three weeks and should be ready to go for the season opener on Sept. 13.
08/27/15 - DE Muhammad Wilkerson (hamstring) is on track to make his preseason debut in Saturday night's "dress-rehearsal" game against the Giants. Wilkerson strained his right hamstring Aug. 2 and didn't practice again until Aug. 23, when the Jets worked out at Hofstra University on Long Island. He was a full participant in practice during the Jets' final few workouts of training camp.
08/19/15 - DE Muhammad Wilkerson (hamstring) won't play in Friday's preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons. Head coach Todd Bowles said Tuesday that Wilkerson probably wouldn't play Friday if he didn't practice Wednesday. Wilkerson didn't participate in practice Wednesday and Bowles confirmed afterward that he would not dress on Friday. Wilkerson hasn't participated in a full practice since he was injured Aug. 2.

An MRI revealed no serious damage for Wilkerson, but the Jets don't believe he is sitting out as a form of protest over the slow pace of contract extension negotiations.
