Draft Scout Snapshot: A closer look at the Chiefs picks: Round 4/107 - Devon Wylie, WR, 5-9, 186, Fresno State...Wylie brings the element of speed to the roster that they desperately need, especially on special teams where he shined at Fresno returning punts. He could easily become the Wes Welker of the K.C. offense. COULD SURPRISE: Wide receiver Devon Wylie: Maybe the first of the Chiefs draft class that sees regular playing time, thanks to his background in the slot on offense and participating in special teams as a punt returner. - The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout Devon Wylie News
11/04/12 - WR Devon Wylie has been a major disappointment in his rookie season not because of his ability, but his availability. He's missed all but one game and is just now returning to full practice participation in the last few weeks. The Chiefs hoped to have the fourth-round choice contributing in a big way on special teams, but he has just four snaps in eight games.
10/24/12 - WR Devon Wylie returned to practice this week after being out of action because of a hamstring injury. Wylie has been active for just one of the season's first six games as he's dealt with the injury. He's unlikely to be active for the game against the Raiders unless injury problems pop up with other receivers.
10/22/12 - WR Devon Wylie has not been a full participant in practice for six weeks after suffering what apparently was a series of hamstring injuries. He has kept busy riding a stationary bike and receiving treatment in the training room. Wylie is expected to begin limited practice work this week.
10/15/12 - WR Devon Wylie continues to see his rookie season wash past him, as he can't recover from what the Chiefs are calling a hamstring injury. Wylie first suffered the problem in training camp, came back and played some in the preseason, but then again had a problem. He worked his way off the injury report at one point, but then re-injured the hamstring, and he's been working on the stationary bike ever since.
10/10/12 - WR Devon Wylie appears to have re-injured a strained hamstring that has kept him sidelined from practice and games for nearly a month now. Wylie was a full participant in the Wednesday practice before the Baltimore game, but then was shelved once again, and sent to the rehab area to ride the stationary bike.
