Post-Draft Outlook:
A closer look at the Chiefs' picks: Round 3/67 -- Alex Magee, DE, 6-3, 298, Purdue...Magee is another defensive lineman who has shown the ability to play both inside and outside, which he did with the Boilermakers. His natural position is the three-technique in a 4-3 front. - by The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout Alex Magee News
03/04/10 - DE Alex Magee started out strong but the wear and tear of rookie season showed late in the year. Magee had eight total tackles, with two sacks, showing more pass rush presence than Jackson.
12/31/09 - DE Alex Magee has been practicing all week on his sore right hamstring that he injured on Nov. 20. Magee missed last Sunday's game, but he's bounced back this week and his practice work indicates he should be active for Sunday's game against Denver.
12/30/09 - DE Alex Magee remains hobbled by a hamstring pull as the team began preparations for the season finale against Denver. Magee suffered the injury early in the game against Cleveland on Dec. 20, and missed last Sunday's game in Cincinnati.
12/23/09 - DE Alex Magee suffered a hamstring injury early in last Sunday's game against Cleveland. Magee took limited snaps after the injury, but remained available. He started the practice week for this Sunday's game against Cincinnati with limited participation in practice.
09/02/09 - DE Alex Magee – As a pass rusher, he's more advanced than fellow rookie teammate Tyson Jackson thanks to his time playing both inside and outside on the Purdue defensive line. He'll get plenty of playing time, especially in the Chiefs' nickel defense.
