 Draft Scout Colin Miller News
09/01/10 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: Center Colin Miller - His experience is essential for a new coaching staff and quarterback. Miller headlines a solid offensive line and his experience can help the offense.
09/01/10 - SCOUTING THE OFFENSE: The Chippewas will look more like a traditional offense this season, with more emphasis on the running backs and tight ends. Redshirt sophomore Ryan Radcliff was named the starting quarterback. The Chippewas won't be as explosive as years past, instead taking yards in small clumps and eating time off the clock. The Chippewas have the luxury of an experienced offensive line, led by senior center Colin Miller and senior guard Jeff Maddux.
08/28/10 - 2010 RIMINGTON TROPHY FALL WATCH LIST: Colin Miller Central Michigan 6'3" 292 Senior, has been selected one of 37 centers named a preseason candidate for the 2010 Rimington Trophy Award, presented annually to the Most Outstanding Center in NCAA Division I-A College Football. Since its inception, the Rimington Trophy has raised over $1.8 million for its benefactor, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The eleven-year old award is overseen by the Boomer Esiason Foundation, which is committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis and has raised over $80 million for CF Research. - The Rimington Trophy Award
06/10/10 - 2010 OUTLOOK: The Chippewas fully understand they won't equal or top last year's historic season. But don't expect the expectations to be diminished too significantly. After all, Central Michigan has played in four straight bowl games. The Chippewas will struggle learning the new offense and adjusting to inexperience at quarterback, wide receiver and running back in the early stages of the season. The defense should be solid again with stalwart linebackers Matt Berning and Nick Bellore returning. A tough schedule -- the Chippewas play at Northwestern, Virginia Tech and Navy -- will hurt a team looking for confidence.
05/25/10 - 2010 RIMINGTON TROPHY SPRING WATCH LIST: Colin Miller Central Michigan 6'3" 292 Senior, has been selected one of 37 centers named to The Rimington Trophy Spring Watch List for the 2010 college football season. The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the Most Outstanding Center in NCAA Division I-A College Football. - The Rimington Trophy committee
