09/01/14 - WR Kyle Williams continued to have bad luck with injuries, when he suffered a shoulder injury in the game in Green Bay to close out the preseason. He was placed on reserve/injured. Williams played one game with the Chiefs last year after they claimed him on waivers from San Francisco. He then suffered a torn ACL in practice the next week and was done for the rest of the season. He was on his way to owning one of the receiver spots on the 53-man list.
08/29/14 - WR Kyle Williams has battled through injuries throughout his career with the 49ers and Chiefs, and now he has another one to overcome. Williams suffered a sprained shoulder in Thursday night's game against Green Bay. There was no immediate prognosis, but that's generally a 4-to-6-week rehab. Williams figured to be part of the Chiefs final 53-man roster based on his play in practice and the preseason.

Williams leads the group of 10 wide receivers that are fighting for three, maybe four spots on the 53-man roster. He's shown no ill-effects from his injury and the surgery it required.
