03/07/15 - LB Jason Williams, who was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent March 10, re-signed with the Buccaneers Saturday (March 7). Williams joined the Buccaneers late in the season after being released by the Carolina Panthers and performed well on special teams.
12/08/14 - LB Jason Williams was signed by the Buccaneers Monday (Dec. 8). Williams (6-1, 245), originally entered the NFL as a third-round draft selection (69th overall) by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2009 NFL Draft. In his six-year career, Williams has played in 57 games, with four starts, totaling 31 tackles, two forced fumbles, two passes defensed and one fumble recovery, while also tallying 26 special teams tackles. He has also played in one postseason game. Williams, who played collegiately at Western Illinois, has played for Dallas (2009-10), Carolina (2010-12, 2013-14) and Philadelphia (2012).
