The move to IR became necessary because of the need to trim the roster to 75 players by Tuesday at 4 p.m. "Kyle has had a tremendous career, and what he decides to do going forward will be based on if he wants to move forward or move on to the rest of his life with his family," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. "Those are decisions that guys make, and Kyle will make the right decision."

Arrington had a strong training camp and was expected to challenge for a starting role. However, he has struggled with the rest of the secondary recently and has seen his playing time diminish.
