Post-Draft Outlook:
BEST PICK: In a draft that seemed to be short on elite talent, the 49ers might have grabbed one with the No. 10 overall pick. Crabtree is a tough, physical receiver who will win over Singletary with his willingness to mix it up as a blocker. Maybe this wasn't as much a great pick, as it was lucky that he fell in the 49ers' lap. A closer look at the 49ers' picks: Round 1/10 - Michael Crabtree, WR, 6-2, 215, Texas Tech...The 49ers were ecstatic that Crabtree was there when it was time to pick. He is coming off surgery for a stress fracture in his left foot. The club expects him to be 100 percent for the opening of training camp, and likely win the starting job at split end. - by The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout *Michael Crabtree News
11/19/09 - WR Michael Crabtree is on the 49ers' injury report, but he scoffed at the notion that he's injured. He said he has a little bruise on his knee, and it's nothing. Crabtree has taken part in full practices this week. He will start Sunday against the Packers, and his knee should not be an issue.
11/17/09 - WR Michael Crabtree will start for the fifth time in a row since signing with the 49ers after a 71-day contract stalemate. Crabtree has 18 receptions for 215 yards in four games.
11/09/09 - WR Michael Crabtree caught three passes for 30 yards against the Titans, owners of the 32nd-ranked pass defense in the NFL. All of his receptions came in the first half.
11/03/09 - WR Michael Crabtree played 50 of the 49ers' 54 snaps on Sunday. He caught a team-high six passes for 81 yards. But he also had a lost fumble that turned the ball over to the Colts near midfield in the third quarter. In two games, Crabtree has 11 catches for 137 yards.
11/02/09 - WR Michael Crabtree played nearly every snap from scrimmage in the 49ers' loss to the Colts on Sunday. Crabtree led the 49ers with six catches for 81 yards, but he also committed a costly turnover near midfield when he fumbled after a short gain. Crabtree has quickly emerged as a favorite target in the passing game. He has 11 catches for 137 yards in two games since signing his rookie contract on Oct. 7, ending a 71-day contract impasse.
