03/18/10 - CB Bruce Johnson, who made the team last year as an undrafted free agent, was the Giants top earner in performance-based pay (PBP), earning $270,766 on top of his $310,000 first-year salary.The NFL gives PBP checks to players who typically have a minimum base salary, but who because of increased playing time during the regular season, become eligible for a pay adjustment.
02/27/10 - CB Bruce Johnson underwent surgery for an undisclosed wrist injury. Johnson is expected to be ready for the start of the team's off-season conditioning program.
01/03/10 - CB Bruce Johnson, who came into the game in the second quarter, suffered a concussion in the second quarter and did not return. Johnson had replaced starter Kevin Dockery (stinger) in the base defense. Johnson was replaced by rookie D.J. Johnson.
10/25/09 - CB Bruce Johnson was given the start at the nickel back ahead of a healthy Kevin Dockery. Johnson, who earlier in the year filled in for Dockery when the latter had a hamstring strain, held his own against the Cardinals' speedy receivers.
