Draft Scout Davon House News
08/25/17 - CB Davon House, expected to be Green Bay's No. 1 cornerback this season, remains out with a hamstring injury. House suffered the injury on Aug. 5 during the Packers' Family Night Scrimmage and hasn't been back since.
03/14/17 - CB Davon House is returning to the Packers on a one-year deal reportedly worth $3.5 million. House agreed to the deal while on a free agent visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers, per NFL Network. The Packers reportedly wanted to keep House, who played his four NFL seasons in Green Bay from 2011-14, before he signed a four-year, $24.5 million deal with the Jaguars in 2015. Last season, House recorded just 13 tackles over 16 games (four starts) with the Jags.
03/06/17 - CB Davon House was released three days ahead of the start of free agency. House was due to make $6 million in each of the next two seasons and his release means the Jaguars now have approximately $79 million in salary cap space, ESPN.com reported. House, 27, signed a four-year, $24.5 million contract with $10 million guaranteed in March 2015.
11/17/16 - CB Davon House has seen limited action on defense since Aaron Colvin rejoined the team after a four-game league imposed suspension. House started the first four games while Colvin was out but has mostly just played on special teams since Colvin's return. Head coach Gus Bradley said the team has not lost confidence in House's ability to play at cornerback. "He's had two solid weeks of practice," Bradley said. "It wasn't that he wasn't playing good but there were others that were playing a little bit better."
09/26/16 - CB Davon House was a late add to the injury report on Saturday due to illness. He suffered some cramping in the game and missed some action to get re-hydrated.
