 Draft Scout Rashaun Greer News
06/23/10 - WR Rashaun Greer was released by the Cowboys according to The Dallas Morning News' Todd Archer.
04/27/10 - 2010 COWBOYS UNDRAFTED ROOKIE FREE AGENT: Alfonso Greer (Colorado State), was signed by the Dallas Cowboys following the 2010 NFL Draft. - Dallas Cowboys
03/13/10 - PRO DAY RESULTS: Two prospects improved their standing with NFL teams as Colorado State held a pro day on Wednesday, hosting the event indoors on FieldTurf. Colorado State wide receiver Rashaun Greer and Fort Hays State defensive back C.J. Lovett each earned the attention of the six teams in attendance on hand to catch the performances of 13 Colorado State players and five others from various local colleges. Greer (6-foot 1/2, 206 pounds), who did not participate in the NFL Scouting Combine, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.51 and 4.50 seconds, had a 34-inch vertical jump, 9-foot-9 1/2 broad jump, 4.37-second short shuttle, did the three-cone drill in 7.0 and did 18 lifts of 225 pounds in the bench press. – Gil Brandt, NFL.com
10/09/09 - SCOUTING THE OFFENSE: Utah's bump-and-run play at the cornerback position took CSU's receivers out of the last year's game, for the most part. Of course, those two Ute corners are now in the NFL. Still, Rams coach Steve Fairchild acknowledged that the wideouts must get off the line of scrimmage better for CSU to have a chance of competing. If the receivers can't open the field, the Rams will have a difficult time finding running lanes against a Utes defense that stacks the line of scrimmage. PLAYERS TO WATCH: WR Rashaun Greer - Though he had seven receptions last week in a bounce-back game after being benched in the first quarter against Brigham Young for tipping passes that resulted in interceptions, Greer couldn't catch a pass in the end zone when he had a half-step on a pair of defenders. Those are the plays the Rams must have their senior wideout make to get them closer to the elite teams in the MWC.
10/03/09 - THIS WEEK'S GAME: Colorado State at Idaho, Oct. 3 - Current Rams running backs coach Anthoney Hill was the CSU quarterback the last time the teams met in 1992. The Vandals erased a 28-7 first-quarter deficit to win 37-34. The last time the teams played in Moscow, Idaho, was 1973, a game won by the Rams 33-30. KEYS TO THE GAME: The Rams led 38-0 in their first three victories combined, but fell behind BYU 21-0 last week. Idaho is a surprising 3-1 and is eager for more, so the Rams don't want to give the Vandals any extra confidence with a slow start. PLAYERS TO WATCH: WR Rashaun Greer - He has said all the right things, following his two gaffes the led to Brigham Young interceptions in the first quarter. As a senior leader, his response to adversity will impact the other players on the team. Greer has been effective as an offensive leader this season; he can't afford to lose his focus even if he doesn't start.
