2010: Started each of the Broncos’ 12 games at defensive end in his final collegiate campaign…named first-team All-Western Athletic Conference for the third-consecutive year…also saw action at tight end due to injuries…nominated for the inaugural Burlsworth Trophy, recognizing college football’s most outstanding player whom began his career as a walk-on…registered 42 tackles (19 solo) on the season, including 7.0 tackles-for-loss and 2.5 sacks…Winterswyk enjoyed a highly decorated career at defensive end with the Broncos after joining the program as a walk-on in 2006. He became a three-time first team All-WAC honoree after starting 43 games in four seasons. Winterswyk finished his career ranked fourth at Boise State in career tackles for loss (44.5) and fifth in career sacks (21.5). He also recorded 168 tackles for his career...2009: Named first-team All-WAC for the second consecutive season after recording 41 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and nine quarterback sacks...His nine sacks is a career high for one season....Second in the WAC in sacks and tackles for loss, and ninth in fumbles recovered...Tied for sixth on the all-time Boise State list for quarterback sacks at 19 with Chris Shepherd (1990-91/93-94) and Joe O'Brrien (1993-94)...His 17 tackles for loss is 10th best in one season at Boise State...Has 37.5 career tackles for loss to rank sixth on the all-time Bronco list...2008: Earned first-team All-WAC honors following outstanding sophomore season ... 04/30/12 - TE Ryan Winterswyk was placed on reserve/retired by the Falcons. Winterswyk, 6-4, 258 pounds, was originally signed by the Falcons as a college free agent on July 26, 2011. He served as a member of the team's practice squad for the final five weeks of the 2011 season.
