Post-Draft Outlook:
A closer look at the Bengals' picks: Round 6/209 -- Bernard Scott, RB, 5-11, 200, Abilene Christian...There's no denying the talent of the Abilene Christian running back. He won the Harlon Hill Award, given to the best player in Division II, this past season after rushing for 2,156 yards and 28 touchdowns while also having six receiving touchdowns. However, it's the off-the-field issues that raise questions. He has reportedly been arrested at least five times and served probation for allegedly giving false information to a police officer during a 2007 arrest. - by The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout Bernard Scott News
09/17/13 - RB Bernard Scott has been released. He was on the PUP list due to a knee injury he suffered last year in a Week 5 loss to Miami.
08/31/13 - RB Bernard Scott (knee) was placed on injured reserve-unable to perform list Saturday by the Cincinnati Bengals, according to NationalFootballPost.com.
08/31/13 - RB Bernard Scott was placed on reserve/PUP on Saturday as the team got down to the league-mandated 53-player roster to start the season.
07/24/13 - RB Bernard Scott (knee) and wide receiver Brandon Tate (hamstring) were placed on the physically unable to perform list.
04/15/13 - RB Bernard Scott visited Oakland this week to gauge the Raiders' interest in him but decided to stay in Cincinnati and sign a one-year deal with the Bengals on Friday. Scott is recovering from surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered in an Oct. 7 game against Miami. The Bengals brought him in on Thursday to evaluate his offseason recovery. "My doctor says I'm ahead of schedule and I've had no setbacks with swelling or anything like that," Scott said, according to Bengals.com. "I'm already back to running and cutting. I feel like the way my rehab is going, I feel like, yeah, I can get back to being the old Bernard. Even better." Before Scott was injured, the Bengals used him as a speed back to complement to starter BenJarvus Green-Ellis. The injury limited Scott to two games in his fourth year with the Bangals. "I'm comfortable here. I'm happy here," Scott said. "I know the system. I've got a great relationship with a lot of my teammates and the coaches know what I can do. It's going to be easier than making a move."
