Draft Scout Jeff Allen News
11/04/15 - Guard/tackle Jeff Allen has started the last two games, opening at right tackle against Pittsburgh and left guard versus Detroit. Allen started the season trying to come back from a strained knee ligament he sustained in the preseason. His feisty attitude has been a big addition to the Chiefs blocking unit.
09/26/15 - G/T Jeff Allen has been a full participant in practice this week as he appears ready to return to the field of play for the first time since he suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee during an Aug. 15 preseason game. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid provided no predictions on how soon Allen may become a contributor along the offensive line, where he's played left guard, right guard and right tackle during his four seasons in Kansas City.
09/09/15 - G/T Jeff Allen participated in the Chiefs' practice on Wednesday, although he was limited somewhat as he tries to return after spraining the MCL in his right knee on Aug. 15. Allen is unlikely to play against Houston in Sunday's season opener.
09/07/15 - G/T Jeff Allen has begun some limited work in practice but does not appear ready to return to full-time action or game participation because of a sprained MCL in his right knee.
09/06/15 - G/T Jeff Allen will be an unlikely participant in the Chiefs regular-season opener against the Texans in Houston. Allen sprained the MCL in his right knee on August 15 in the first game of the preseason in Arizona. He's not practiced since and after the team's wrapped up their preseason schedule, head coach Andy Reid indicated that he did not expect Allen back for the Houston game.
